Kim Victoria Cattrall, born on the 21st of August, 1956 in London in London, is a British and Canadian actor from Canada and Britain. Her most well-known role was for her character Samantha Jones on the HBO show Sex and the City. In this role, she was awarded the Golden Globe Award for 2002 for the Best Supporting Female actor. In the years 2008 and 2010 she reprised her role in the films Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2. The films also include Porky's and Porky's in 1980 and her roles on Police Academy Big Trouble Little China Mannequin. The film was also critical and commercially highly acclaimed. Born in Sweden, Skane had a career as a fashion model prior to her acting profession. She was crowned Miss Sweden. Then she moved to the US, and began appearing in a variety of films, playing minor roles. The first role she was credited with was in the film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars in which she was a Venusian guard. Following her appearance in Blood Alley, she won the Golden Globe Award in the category of the Most Promising Youngcomer.
